The City of Arcata is conducting a water service line inventory.

Under the "Lead Service Line Replacement & Notification Act" implemented by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, all communities are required to prepare a comprehensive water service line material inventory and report their findings to the State. This Act includes revised rules to better protect our community from the impacts of lead exposure. The new rule revisions will get the lead out of our nation's drinking water and empower communities through information.
